Very different experience
My original reasons for touring here were the grounds (beautiful) and garage excellent). There were several apartments available for my move-in date so I had a choice of locations. When I showed up on my move-in date with my movers and all of my belongings, I was told by the manager that they decided to change out my carpet and were going to begin shortly. WHAT?! Management told me my apartment had been cleaned. Maybe by Stevie Wonder! The place was very dirty and I had to start cleaning before... I could unpack. Management had every excuse under the sun why had not been done properly. When I repeatedly complained, no one even came to take a look at what I was complaining about. I contacted corporate, who put me in touch with the regional manager. I’ve been here over a month and I’m still waiting for things to be cleaned. The previous tenant smoked in the apartment and had a cat or two (huge allergies) There’s still cat hair on the walls because this place was never painted. The windows had not been cleaned. The lint trap in the dryer was full of lint and cat hair, vents were filthy dirty with dust and cat hair. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. (I have 200 pictures of filth.) Reg mgr told me if I wanted to leave, I had 30 days to cancel my lease; however, the moving costs would be my nickel. (Another $1K!) Management did try to make things better, but in my opinion, the damage had already been done with a bad move in experience. If they had just admitted that the apartment had not been cleaned and not made excuses, things would’ve been very different.
