Horrible new management
This place used to be fantastic under the previous management. Since the new management took over, though, there’s been a noticeable decline in the care and attention to everyday details. The hallways have smelled from uncollected trash on multiple occasions, and it’s common to find the dog waste stations out of bags, making it difficult to maintain cleanliness. It’s disappointing to see such a drop in quality.
One of the best parts of living here was the friendly, accommodating staff. They... would go out of their way to help with any issue, big or small. Recently, I made a minor lease infraction and, instead of working with me, the new management was abrupt and unhelpful, essentially saying “pay up or else”—something I know the old management would have handled with more understanding. Now, it feels like they care more about collecting rent than actually supporting their residents without maintaining the quality being pad for, which leaves a bad taste after having lived here for so long and once thinking so highly of it.
The only saving grace remains the local amenities—places like Barrel & Bones, Twisted Root, and the charming downtown Carrollton area are still great—but it’s disappointing that the apartment itself no longer matches that quality. If you are looking to rent anywhere for a long term lease, and not be stripped for cash on any issue- I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
