incompetent staff; unless you have a lot of time don't bother applying
I decided on living at Cranbrook Forest and submitted my application; my timeline was tight. I needed to move in a few days after filling out the application and I was told everything would be ready. The day before I move in, I get a call asking for more documents and again I remind them my move-in date is the next day. They said if they needed anything else they would call. I downloaded everything they requested the moment I get off phone. I heard nothing else but never got confirmation of... approval either. Move-in date arrives, I call before I leave because it is a 4-hour drive for me; I am told I haven't been approved yet because they are finishing my application, so I have to wait. A few hours later they call wanting more documents; I upload them. At that point it might have been too late for me to get to Houston, I asked if I left and was running a little behind would they wait for me, I was told “no, everyone leaves at 5pm”. I was going to try, anyway. Then as I am getting into my truck, I got another call saying they cannot approve my application because they need another document; my instincts were telling me if I had uploaded that document, I still would not have gotten the apartment that day. I felt like they had just started to review my application that morning and there was nothing I could do on my end that was going to make any difference. I heard giggles and snickers in the background. Those women were just playing around at my expense. Now, no apartment and I must stay in a hotel the first week on the job because of incompetence.
