DO NOT LIVE HERE
I would highly suggest NOT living here. I will NOT be renewing my lease here once my time is up. Barvin (the management company) is waiting to take all your money. I typically do not write reviews for bad experiences, but this place has been horrendous. I am more than willing to talk to anyone who has concerns about this place.
1. Ever since they enforced visitor registration my boyfriend has been towed twice. Anytime a guest comes you MUST register them in an app and you MUST register them... every 24 hours. You are only allowed one guest per day and if you have any more than one guest they must park on the street.
- The most recent time was when his car was registered until 7:11PM and I re-registered his car at 7:15PM. HPD’s website showed that they towed us at 6:50PM. The towing company towed him at 7:12PM- NOT EVEN A MINUTE AFTER HIS REGISTRATION WAS UP. No one could explain to me why a governmental website said 6:50PM if it was actually “7:12PM”.
- The towing company lurks in the parking garage waiting for people’s registration to be up. They do not give you any grace period to re-register your visitor’s car. I would understand if it was 30 minutes late to register, but a MINUTE??
- After voicing my concerns to the front office, they gave me the run around. I asked for corporate’s number and they still haven’t gotten back to me (it’s been since Monday even though I’ve followed up multiple times). You are in the busines of customer service. I’ve asked for their information more than once and still have not been given any contact information
2. My move-in day was on a Friday and I couldn’t even move into my apartment until the following Monday, but they happily took my money for the days I couldn’t move-in. Either my key fob didn’t work OR my garage scanner wouldn’t let me into the garage. Without a working key fob or garage scanner, I couldn’t get into the building for 3 days
- Once again, I tried voicing my concerns to the front office and the same thing. They didn’t take any blame. I asked them for corporate’s number and they told me corporate would reach out (news alert, they didn’t because I doubt they forwarded my information to them).
3. All the fees associated with this apartment are absurd. I live right next to the trash chute and cannot opt- out of the trash valet ($25/month). They started enforcing Fetch for packages, yet another charge for $25/month.

Worst management ever
Gave them 9 months to improve, sadly they just get worse and worse and worse. Non responsive staff. Broken things all over and mounting. And they don't bother to even act like they want to make things better.
It was almost 100% full when Barvin management took over. It's below 30% full now 9 months later. That speaks volumes.

Revl Heights is where you want to live.
I have lived here for a month now, and the reviews had me worried, but honestly I realized it was just a handful of “Greystar” residents that aren’t very receptive to change and one of the residents admitted that management encouraged them to write bad reviews, because the owners didn’t want Greystar managing the property anymore.
Community Maintenance - Management is responsive to any and all issues at the community and communicate via email to us about issues at the property and when they... are fixed.
Security - The vehicles that were stolen from the property were Chrysler made vehicles that had recalls on them due to the ability to unlock and steal the cars from a master key that can easily be programmed. Apparently, people ignored this and some vehicles were taken, not a management issue, it’s a personal matter that never got handled, but I guess it’s easy to point fingers at someone else to blame.
There is security patrolling the garage throughout the night and we have courtesy officers that live on site and walk the property throughout the night and morning. There is also security cameras to hopefully deter criminals, but if you look at a crime map all properties in Houston and Greater Houston have been targeted.
Many residents rather waste their time calling management about issues or leaving reviews about a vehicle or person description of criminal activity, rather than calling 911.
I love everything here and long as you notify management of an issue, they make sure that it’s fixed in a timely manner.
Ignore the handful of disgruntled residents, they never adapted to the change of management it seems and many of which have complained but continued to renew their lease and stay here.

You want your truck stolen.
You want to fall off a broken treadmill.
You want to swim in a filthy pool.
You want to wait 10 minutes for an elevator.

Barvin Is Terrible
Whatever you do, don't move in here. All reviews older than 3 months are from the outstanding previous management. Pay attention to the more recent reviews since the change of management to Barvin in Dec 2021. Can not wait to move out.
Heard from other residents that front office staff can’t even do anything, so why are they there? Complex has gotten noticeably dirtier and less appealing since December when new management took over. There is a lack of communication between management and... residents and management seems disinterested in even listening to residents. There have been a couple instances where they cut off power and water on short notice, so good luck planning around that. Security is absolutely atrocious. They say they are increasing security, but there is no evidence of that actually happening. Garage gates are broken 90% of the time. New management took over in December, and it took them a good month and a half to even get a basic resident portal up and running. They are wanting to get rid of the Package Concierge service and replace it with Fetch, but they obviously don’t care about resident satisfaction by adding a sub-par service and introducing a middle-man to get packages delivered.
All in all, it’s been downhill since Barvin took over. Management seems interested in pushing their own agenda of reducing costs while raising rent prices. They don’t care about the residents. Look at all of the available apartments and then the recent reviews and that should tell you all you need to know. RUN!
