They don't care.
I just moved out from here. At first it was a great, beautiful place. Eventually we found out that the pool got closed very frequently with no notice. You just walk down to the pool, kids all excited ready to swim and find the gate locked. Couldn't even bother to put up a sign, even though this was almost weekly during the summer. Not to mention it was closed over a month at the beginning of spring, when it's actually nice outside.
As we went along, maintenance issues were ignored for months.... I'm sure they are busy, but a 30 year old AC unit that can't keep the apartment under 85 in the summer is something that needs to be dealt with. I had a hole in my bathroom ceiling for like 6 weeks because the upstairs apartment had some kind of leak. They patched the hole, but a couple months later it leaked again. They fixed the paint that had bubbles and fallen off, but never addressed the leak. So a week later, the mold was growing faster than I could clean it. At this point I was under a month from moving out so they said they would tear into it after I left, which is understandable.
Then 3 weeks after I moved, paid everything and even paid the express cleaning charge so they wouldn't give me any problems, they charged me almost twice as much as normal for a month of water and sewer for the 1 day of December that the lease was still in my name. And I moved out the day prior.
Oh also, it's mildly infuriating that I am forced to pay for valet trash, and most weeks the trash would sit outside everyone's apartments for 3+ days.
Apartments in general don't care, but Boulder Ridge does a really good job at sucking money out of their residents and not providing anything other than a roof over your head.
