Pepper Ridge Apartments

I try to be fair in my review. I do several. So to be fair Amy has been great to work with. Thank you very much for this. My wife and I have a five year old and a two year old. We had a situation to stay in a hotel for a while or pepperidge just because the cost isn't to crazy. My wife toured a few and took the best unit. I couldn't be their at first. She told me it was a little dirty. I figured a little run dow to being old. Well we just moved in over thanksgiving and black friday today I have... already given my notice for december 31st. I wish I could get my money back to go someplace else before then. I dont know as a renter what laws I have in my favor. This place is horrible. While moving in we noticed several horrible truths. Dead bug everywhere in corners that you wouldn't notice in a quick walk through before renting. Today scrubbing the kitchen we are finding piles of I believe to be mouse droppings. The apartment they didn't clean at all well it didn't seem like it was cleaned up before we moved in. I'm really shocked and cant talk to the health department till next week due to the holiday. I'm really worried my little babies are going to get sick. Until we can move out we are only staying in the big bedroom. The kitchen we just cant be in or let our babies. We feel trapped until the end of december in such a horrible place. I wish we would have noticed all this before I maxed out all 3 credit cards to come here. Thank you again Amy for your service but this place is horrible and unsanitary and if my babies get sick before we can move out I would have no choice but to take legal action as well as let every media forum know what has gone on. simply put management here is beyond terrible... as far as the place goes during the walk through and after moving in a few things in it doesn't look so bad especially when you consider what you are paying for however I've been here for three months and have recently discovered what appears and smells like black mold in the master bedroom in addition to serious leaks coming from the windows which also appear to have mold either already existing or starting to form. When brought up to management... the response was it could be condensation....... advising they will send someone out once they are done with other work orders as if there is absolutely no sense of urgency to see if they have someone residing in a apartment that is possibly effected by black mold which is considered to be a serious health issue. Which has drove me to submit this review because this isn't the first time a work order was placed and just kind of thrown on the back burner. So without continuing to rant and simply put if you wish to live here I would just strongly encourage to pay close attention to every single detail prior to moving in again because if you are going to need anything from management you might as well cancel Christmas however if you never have to step foot in the leasing office other than to sign your paper work you'll be fine. When i moved in here a year ago i put in a work order to have my mirror closet doors removed. when i did that i was not told that i would not be able to get the closet doors back or even a replacement door.

today when i put in a work order to have the doors put back in they claimed that i would not be able to get the mirror doors back in. the lady also was extremely rude and claimed i was "playing a game" and they arnt going to play it because the new closet doors would have to tear apart the... walls to put them in. I am extremely dissatisfied, i now have an incomplete apartment thanks to the extremely rude pepperidge management who clearly have chosen the wrong job path. Lee mas

They're dishonest and charge ridiculous amounts of money for stupid things. Example: $25 fee for them to tape a piece of paper to your door. $100 for a typo when paying rent on their online system. $15 fee to use your debit card. Smells like an ash tray, cops are ALWAYS around. Alcoholics and tweakers live here. If no could afford somewhere else i would leave asap.

I lived here for about 2 years and I felt very comfortable I never had any problems with my home and was very clean and safe to raise my baby. management is amazing and great at communicating. love it
