Verified Renter

Excellent apartment community with friendly, clean, convenient and comfortable living. The proximity to downtown and the University are real advantages for my needs. Management is courteous and friendly and respond quickly to any requests for maintenance or repairs. Safety is never a concern in this occupant friendly environment.

Greystar has no integrity

Moved into the building in 2001 one of my favorite places to live off all time still the last year. Greystar took over managing around 2 years ago. First issue i had was i noticed a new charge on my monthly statement. I was for $50 for "technology fee" i had always received free high speed internet. Now Greystar now was charging $50 for it, I never received any notification about if i wanted to keep the service and now have to pay for it. Then now if you want a parking spot in the parking garage... you now have to pay $75-$100 for a spot. always had a spot to park in the garage was part of my rent. Common sense you rent an apartment you get a place to park your car. Had an issue with my parking card needing to be replaced. When they gave me a new card they confirmed the parking level and stall #. It was wrong., For the last 10 years i had been parking on level one . They said no you have been parking one level 2. i had lived at the property for 23 years and thing i know where i have been parking for the last 10 years. i even had to parking tag that you hang on your rea view. They didn't even respond to that. They claimed someone else had been parking in that spot for that last few years. I said don't you feel that is odd that in the last 10 years i had been parking in my spot that no one had ever put a not on my car that i was in there spot. I never got a parking ticket that i was in the wrong spot. Once again them being right was way more important then treating me the loyal tenant of 20 plus years. There was just this arrogance feeling i got from the staff. Had a few times i needed assistance from the staff later on and they were not willing to have any leeway on the rules or polices of the property. Would not help in anyway. One day a tenant posted a comment on the building online bulletin. I responded and agreed with him on a negative experience he had. i had one similar to him and posted on his post. Two days latter i get a notice they are not renewing my lease.
