This charming apartment was carved out of the original ground floor of the Crows Nest, an 1851 Antebellum mansion, listed on the National Historic Register under Berryville, VA. Its living room is a has 8-9 foot ceilings, large colonial windows... which give lots of light with a fine view of the expansive front lawn, a Pergo floor, a beautiful hand painted mantel with scenic guard panel and a lovely old built-in bookcase. The den has a pine floor and opens by way of a double door and high windows to a private patio. It would make a great office or library or guest room. The bedroom has carpet. The Crows Nest was started in 1837 and completed in 1851. It was originally the main house on a 200- acre estate. Both union and confederate troops used it during the civil war. The brick patio between the back of the mansion and the Smoke House is available to all tenants and has outdoor tables and chairs. The building is locked, very secure and private. It is in the center of Berryville and a short walk to numerous restaurants and stores as well to the town parks and the branch of Handley Library on that is next to Rose Hill park.

Berryville is located at US 340 and business Route 7. It is 25 miles west of Leesburg and 10 miles east of Winchester.
