Do not recommend!
- The dog areas (at least near our building) are almost all dirt, so anytime it rains it just turns into mud. Then there’s mud all over the sidewalks, the hallways, and all over your dog.
- Our dryer broke and it took two weeks before they replaced it.
- During all the construction, my boyfriend got nails in his tires twice. Construction has slowed down now, but at the time it was really annoying.
- The old property manager quit and was replaced. I’m guessing it’s because so many people were... complaining. The old manager once sent an email telling tenants to “walk quietly” in their apartments because people were complaining about noise… which was crazy to me.
- The trash situation has been rough. Before they had the compactor, the dumpsters were always overflowing. The compactor is better, but they still don’t empty it enough and trash piles up around the building it’s in. Our building is right next to it, so we get to see it constantly. People in the back buildings literally drive their trash up here.
- Getting in and out of the complex is honestly a nightmare. You can’t turn left when you leave, so if you want to go to Kroger you have to turn right, sit at a light, and go around a roundabout just to go the direction you actually needed. Even turning right can be hard because of how much traffic there is. And turning into the complex is just as bad. You’re turning left on a hill, and if someone is in the turning lane coming the opposite way, you can’t see anything. Sometimes I just drive down to the Kroger light and do a U-turn because it’s safer.
- During the snow and ice recently, it was a disaster. They didn’t plow or salt anything even though it snowed the day before and temps were dropping below freezing. The next morning the whole parking lot was a sheet of ice. I slid down the hill and right into Roanoke Road trying to leave. A plow showed up as I was leaving, but my boyfriend said it barely got anything up. They should have plowed the night before!
- They have a bunch of rules and fines in the lease but I don’t think anything is actually enforced. Our neighbors’ dogs bark every time someone opens the hallway door, and they leave their trash outside their door every day. It doesn’t really bother me, but it just shows that no one enforces anything.
Overall, I like the apartment itself, but everything else has been kind of a headache.
