One of the worst management

Before applying we were told by the lease manager that they will hold the apartment for 2 weeks (till 26th Aug) so that we have to pay only 5 days of prorated rent. We submitted the application after the verbal agreement, and paid $550 ($500 deposit + $50 application fee). But during signing, they are saying the latest they can hold apt is till Aug 13th. They are denying about the information they gave about move-in date of 26th. This is the same person who told us incorrect information over... the phone and now they are making us to pay almost half month rent ($600+) more, which is unacceptable. Watch out guys, management is giving false info and make us to submit application and then change it after we are locked. We asked them to cancel our application even though we loose $50+ application fee.

The move in date is always provided in writing prior to the applicant paying for anything. You would have had an opportunity to make adjustments to the move in date before you paid the $550. You were not "locked" into anything. You agreed to the date... in writing before paying the earnest money.

I love it!

Property manager Mike is fantastic. He responds to all of my emails very quickly and he's so pleasant to work with. The apartments are quiet and I feel safe living here. Only recommendations I have are to add a trash area for those at the opposite end of the complex. Oh and make it pet friendly :) great place to live!!

We realize we can’t make every accommodation for every renter, but we sure... are glad you have chosen to live with us, and we are especially grateful for the positive report! Poor communication, pocket money

Lived here for a year and communication with property manager is poor. There seemed to be structural issues with these townhouses. A balcony across the parking lot from us collapsed last summer. There also were multiple stress fractures in our brand new apartment. Upon move-out property manager told us everything looked fine and that we would be getting our deposit back in a few weeks. Only issue that needed touch up was a spot of faded paint on the freezer door, which I communicated to the... manager weeks earlier. Instead of touching up the paint on the freezer door, they pocketed our total 500 dollar deposit, claiming they replaced the entire freezer door. This is not the first Lexington property I have dealt with that seems to take advantage of young renters. Be careful when renting at these properties.

Thank you for taking the time to review Encore. We appreciate you sharing your concerns with us as we take them very seriously and hope to come to an amicable understanding! I see that your first residence was Encore Terrace in Hobart. In looking at... the records, I find that the apartment you moved into there was brand new, and upon move-out, the photo documentation shows that the freezer door was damaged from using a cleaner that removed the black finish. Other charges included a new toilet seat and your final water bill. That account was paid in full, so there was no lack of communication as you stated. Your second lease was at Terrace Lake in Green Bay. You both signed the lease and did not move in due to what you said was a job transfer. You mention that it is understandable that you would lose the deposit, but in fact you did not. You also mention that “(the manager) told you that you were ‘off the hook’ for any rent in May”. However, in reading the full message, I find that the information was stated thus “ …you will technically be responsible for the rent until it gets rerented. So the sooner you put the notice in, the sooner I can find someone new in the unit, and you're off the hook.” We were able to rent that apartment for a May 16th move in date so not only were you refunded the deposit of $500 which you claim you forfeited, you were also refunded $419.90 for May’s rent in addition to having your lease voided with no further responsibility on your part. Your claim that you have “lost” money and other erroneous statements are unsubstantiated and untrue. We welcome any qualified renter to our communities and wish you only the best in your future endeavors.
