DO NOT LIVE HERE
We have lived at Park Lafayette for about six months, and while there are some positives, our overall experience has been extremely disappointing due to management and process issues.
The Pros:
The view is amazing.
The location is convenient and central to everything we need.
Fellow tenants and staff are friendly and welcoming.
The Cons:
Unfortunately, the day-to-day living experience has been marred by a lack of organization and responsiveness.
Major Issues:
The handling of a bed bug... infestation has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we suspected the issue, the apartment complex’s response has been slow, negligent, and dismissive.
After reporting the issue, it took days for anyone from the complex to respond, and only after we followed up multiple times.
We arranged for a reputable pest control company to address the problem promptly, but the complex required us to use their vendor, who couldn’t treat the issue for 12 days from the time we reported it.
When the vendor finally came, they did a poor job—leaving belongings unsealed and failing to remove eggs from our bedframe. Unsurprisingly, the bugs were not eradicated, and the issue persists.
Despite further complaints, the complex has been unresponsive, leaving us to live with the problem and no resolution in sight.
Minor Inconveniences:
The trash chute frequently gets stuck.
Elevators are often down or reserved, causing long wait times.
We’ve experienced power outages and fire alarms going off in the middle of the night.
The mail system is unreliable—sometimes we’re notified about packages, and other times we’re not. On multiple occasions, packages have been misplaced due to reception errors.
It took two weeks for maintenance to address a faulty dryer.
The internet was down for over two weeks (Internet is through the complex), which was a huge disruption as we work from home.
This complex has great potential to be an amazing place to live. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been far from positive
