This property is an OVERPRICED AVERAGE apartment at best
This property claims to be luxurious and energy efficient and it has been far from that. My energy bills has been over $400 each month through this winter because my apartment NEVER reaches the set temperature, therefore the heat is constantly on. Drafts come in through the windows, door, and garage. The land lord has been in all apartments every other month claiming to fix the problems, but the problems remain, like placing bandaids on a gushing wound. They have been in to put a new heater by... the door that doesn't work(10 inch radiant heater). The garages are not climate controlled at all, living in their second story corner units(most expensive available) means essentially your entire floor is exposed to whatever the outside temperature is. They came in to put new weatherstrips in doors to help them seal. They have been in to replace a filter in the furnace to help with the noise level and help it keep up with heating(it's loud enough to wake us from our sleep). They have been in my apartment to replace shower head that leaks. They have been in my apartment to caulk the counter tops that are separating from the wall. They also claim to be double thick dry wall but you can hear everything your neighbor is doing, and I mean EVERYTHING. ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS STILL REMAIN. The land lord is pleasant and usually replies, but doesn't seem to address any of the real problems properly and certainly has no regard for my energy bills. The rent amount is far too high for all of the issues there have been. Other renters don't clean up after their dogs, which isn't a true reflection of the apartments themselves, but is a real issue. There is dog excrement every where so my dogs, my child, and myself run the risk of tracking it into our apartment each time we enter the grassy areas. Living on the second floor means people can peer into your entrance because they only frost first floor doors. Moving here from a 100 year old house, I expected to have some issues that coincide from leaving a private setting and going into shared walled experience, but I had no reason to believe this place would actually cost what it does to live here. There are many issues with the floorplan I have, some smaller, some larger, but all add up in the end. From not being able to open your refrigerator freezer door even 90 degrees, to constantly tripping the circuit breaker when using multiple outlets ranging from the garage to the backsplash of your kitchen which are all on the same circuit.
