Davenport is a quaint city 35 miles south of Orlando in central Florida. The city is made up of residential areas with a few options of Mediterranean-style houses and apartments inside and right outside of the town's limits. Thanks to Highway 17, residents can easily travel into and out of the city for work and play. There are a few choices of restaurants and shops in town, but residents travel north to find all the necessities at Posner Park, a large multi-use retail center. Peaceful ponds and parks dot the city, but more outdoor recreation can be found at the large golf courses surrounding Davenport. More outdoor adventure is available at the expansive Lake Marion Creek Wildlife Management Area, just a few minutes east of Davenport.
