DO NOT MOVE HERE
We lived at Metro for many years, long before The Battery was even built. There has been at least 4 different management companies during our time there with the current management being the absolute worst we have seen not only at Metro but any apartment complex.
Anyone who has lived at this complex for a long time surely can attest to how much this management group has destroyed the essence at Metro. They are very money hungry, almost to an immoral level. When they first arrived, it was nearly... time to renew our lease, they unapologetically raised rental prices upwards of $400+ without notice for my elderly mother who is in her mid 70s. I have never seen such an abrupt increase in my entire life. According to them, this was in line with the market value of the area. However, make no mistake, these apartments are very OLD and no improvements to the apartments were made to make them in any way comparable to the brand new complexes in the area. These increases caused many people to have to leave their homes. We were also shocked to read the new property manager’s first email to residents…it was cold, unwelcoming and threatened evictions.
We have since moved from here and are so incredibly happy to be gone. It is not the same place we fell in love with so many years ago and we would now never recommend these apartments to anyone especially when there are so many brand new alternatives in the area. If you are considering this complex, just know that this management team does not care about its residents.
