Poor management, loud apartment

Moved in 2023. During the tour I asked repeatedly about noises. I was assured the apartment is quiet just normal apartment noises. We ended up living above the yoga studio from which we can hear every word, I can literally transcribe conversations. We brought this up to management multiple times during the first year, we were given an option to break the lease, or move to a different unit. Unfortunately before we could I was given military orders for six months, leaving my wife by herself. She… endured and had to renew the lease since we could not afford movers to help her. We did ask to be notified if another apartment of the same type opened and she could move there at her pace. The apartment NEXT DOOR OF THE SAME TYPE was available and we were never notified. As soon as I came back I mentioned the noise is still unbearable, but front desk staff here changes every 3 months. When I finally spoke with the leasing manager Haley, she basically told me tough luck, your choice is to either pay cancellation, or move to an apartment that costs more.

After reviewing our records, we’d like to clarify a few points that differ slightly from what was shared in your review. When you initially brought your noise… concerns to our attention, we offered a transfer to another home without penalty. However, your household expressed interest only in one of our newly renovated homes, which unfortunately was not available at that time—so you chose to remain in your current home. Following that interaction, we did not receive any additional reports or concerns regarding noise. At the end of your lease term, you signed a renewal for the same home, again without any noise issues being raised. Recently, when you visited our office, your first contact with us in several months regarding this matter, we again extended the offer to transfer to another home. We’re truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. If you’d like to discuss your concerns further, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you. Poor

Loved everything about our apartment itself. I work from home and took immaculate care of this space. However, we just got a “final balance due” bill of over $1,100 (after we paid our full year’s worth of rent, ON TIME). $800 of those charges were for “painting needed”. Half the apartment is brick!!! Mindful of the fact there were some holes I patched from hanging artwork but $800? There was minimal paint damage when we left. All in all, great units, bad service and management. They don’t care… about you at all. Four different front office people have worked there during the one year my girlfriend and I were there. Residents don’t clean up after their animals. Utility bills are high, and the deck is an extreme liability too.

LOVE MY HOME

I have lived at 5th Avenue for almost 4 years and the staff makes it "home". They are helpful, kind, fun and knowledgeable AND most of all THEY CARE!!!! Matthew the newest addition to the office staff is AWESOME!!! 5th Avenue gives you loft living in the suburbs. The lofts are nestled inside an old furniture factory - there is something to be said about living in a place that is over 100 years....lots of history!!! It is unique, beautiful and one-of-a-kind.

Great place to live

My fiancé and I love living here! The proximity to the train and to downtown Naperville is unbeatable!

Lovely apartment

I recently moved to 5th avenue station and have enjoyed living in the building. Close to the train and downtown. Parking is included. Very cute updated apartment and very clean. Nice outdoor deck for hanging out on nice days.
