Poor communication, Endless Inconveniences, and No Accountability
Our two-year experience here has been nothing short of a disaster. If you ever want to reach someone, plan ahead. Calls go unanswered, emails vanish, and any attempt at communication feels like yelling into a black hole.
Our bathroom developed a "brown water" leak in the middle of the night. It took a week before we could shower again while a third party tore open the wall. The repair team left our belongings covered in dust. When I reached out about the mess, they scheduled another repair... requiring me to vacate the apartment with my dogs due to fumes. I rearranged my day… and no one showed up. Eventually, I was told they needed to reschedule. At that point, I gave up.
If you love surprise visits, you’re in luck—Windsor Lakes conducts frequent inspections. Halfway through our lease, we’ve already endured four, each requiring us to secure our dogs while we’re at work. The complex also conducts “maintenance” like bug spraying, which requires residents to empty their cabinets.
Safety? Don’t get your hopes up. Our packages and hubcaps were stolen, and the office suggested we “call the cops.” Even the officer who investigated requested camera footage—no surprise, nothing came of it. Dog waste is left all over the property, but unless you provide photographic evidence mid-act, management won’t lift a finger.
A storm blew off a gutter, leaving it dangling dangerously. Despite multiple calls and emails, nothing happened until I threatened to contact the city. Apparently, safety only matters when external authorities get involved—good to know.
And what do you get for these delightful experiences? Certainly not space. The apartments are small, provide minimal storage, and don’t even offer private outdoor areas. For the price we pay, you’d think we were living in luxury—spoiler alert: we are not.
This place is so unbelievably bad that I’ve wasted more time writing this review to warn others. I understand that pet-friendly housing can be hard to find, but trust me—I wish I had looked harder.
