Unacceptable.
To preface this, I will warn you the management responds to complaints with empty promises & fake smiles.
Not one single window in any of the apartments can open. They are all bolted shut behind glass panes, & this was NOT disclosed to many people prior to move-in. The outside of these bolted windows are permanently dirty.
The AC/Heating units are poorly aligned with the walls, leading to leaks, & resulting in a horrific amount of mold build-up beyond reach. With the rain comes the activation... of this mold, & roaches. It is suffocating & nauseating. It is unmistakably mold & bacteria. Nowhere else in this entire county have I ever experienced such abysmal air quality.
The apartments are VERY POORLY cleaned & maintenanced between tenants.
There is ONE washer & ONE dryer per every 2 floors. That is over 10 apartments per machine. These machines are hosted in dingy, mildew-painted cement rooms, some with fast flickering lights & often out-of-order machines. They are obviously not properly cleaned & maintained as with the rest of the building.
One of the entry doors was broken the entire time I resided here. It is not installed correctly & stuck against the ground, perpetually ajar.
Yes there are key fobs or an access code required to enter, but I have heard a disparaging amount of stories by non-residents being let in by other unsuspecting residents. Delivery drivers, including random door-dash type individuals are often let inside as well.
The elevators are always filthy, unknown liquids spilled & dried across the floor. Sometimes this is from leaks causes by people having no choice by to cary their trash down the elevator & through the lobby & out the side door to an open dumpster in an alley decorated with trash.
Visiting the building is like walking into a secret slum hidden inside the cute little town of Hutchinson.
Plaza Towers does not adequately represent a fair standard of living or habitable conditions, nor does it represent the best interest of the community.
I am appalled that anyone could possibly live here. With rent rates lower than most of town, it's no wonder nobody seems to have successfully fought for better living conditions. Such a pursuit would cost time and money, something that the leasing company nor owners are appear to be willing to dedicate towards this property.
