WONDERFUL PLACE Sadly bitter person lies

I am so shocked and disappointed with the negative review. Brooks is full of great folks. I have lived here for 5 years. Apartments are well maintained. Pool is gorgeous. I would say most people post negative reviews for unreasonable reasons. Always more to the story. No one should stay if they were that unhappy. Many people have lived here for years which says a lot about the place. No where does it say access to covered parking that I have ever seen....
Sadly the statements made just...
contradict each other.

Glad to be leaving

It says you can have pets. You cannot. You used to be able to have pets, but they are no longer allowed. I don't know if that includes aquariums, but I was told that the only people allowed a pet are those who had them before the policy was changed.

The fitness center is awful. It has a couple of basic machines, but it's really just an extra room that they threw some heavily used equipment in so they could claim to have an exercise room. I've never seen anyone use it, but I'm sure some people...
do. They consider it a perk, so it's built in to your rent. If you don't want to use it, you're still paying for it.

They claim that you have access to one covered assigned space and one open air parking spot. That's not true. They only allow one spot per unit, no matter the size, and any additional cars have to park in visitor parking (even though you, of course, pay the same amount of rent as people with assigned spots.)
They give you the "option" of a second garaged spot that costs 100 bucks a month. Obviously, that's pretty misleading (like the pet part.)

The pool is great, except that in the summer you'll rarely see any of your neighbors there. The pool is shared with another local complex, who seemingly take it over.
In the bulletin management sent, they claimed that they wanted to be able to trust the residents to police themselves, which is another way for saying "we have no way of controlling what you do at the pool, so if you want to invite your kid's soccer team over, sorry 200 other residents who pay absurd rents for it."

I've used the thing maybe 3 times max and it was at 9AM (the earliest I believe you're allowed to use it) because by 915, it's an MDC pool some days.

Maintenance: I don't want to get too deep into my issues (because I don't want to face any backlash) but we've had pest issues (present before we moved in) that were handled entirely incorrectly and most likely illegally. We had to fix several issues ourselves after maintenance failed to fix issues (including buying our own parts when their "quick fixes" failed and we grew tired of trying to adjust our schedule to the third or fourth crack at something I ended up Googling to fix.)

Are you tired of shoveling, mowing the lawn, raking leaves and just worn out? Then Brooks Pond apartments are calling your name. Easy access to all shopping and highways. A great swimming pool to cool off in the summer heat and off the main road for peace and quiet. If you like walking then you can walk the sidewalks throughout the complex. Each building has elevators and a common room on the second floor...for a get-together during the winter with you neighbors.
