Phoenix Apartments: A Costly Mistake – Read Before You Sign
I have lived in the Phoenix Apartments for less than a week, and I can confidently say:
Everything stated here is true.
Avoid this complex at all costs.
This is your first warning to look elsewhere.
The conditions of this apartment complex are unacceptable. The elevators reek of urine, and the parking lot is frequented by homeless individuals, making it both unsafe and difficult to find parking.
Upon move-in, I discovered warped door locks, nails in the carpet, a missing shower rod, and... even a bathroom door with no handle. These are basic necessities that should be addressed before any tenant arrives.
And then there are the roaches.
This complex has a severe roach infestation. I was not informed of this issue until after signing my lease—something that should have been disclosed upfront.
To make matters worse, on my scheduled move-in day, the leasing office unexpectedly closed, delaying my move by an entire week. This not only disrupted my planned moving services but also caused unnecessary complications with my work schedule.
As a first-year law student and a full-time employee supporting our military, I am both disappointed and frustrated that I made the mistake of choosing this place.
Spend the extra money for a better complex.
Do not move here.
