MICE!! MICE!! MICE!!
I have been living at The Phoenix for approximately, 2-3 months now. I absolutely fell in love with my apartment when I moved it. During the onboarding process, the leasing agent asked me, what's important to me in my new apartment. I said, "no mice and safety. Having a safe place to come home to. Three months into my lease, I have mouse droppings all over my kitchen. I contacted the rental office to report my issue and the person I spoke with told me, "I can place you on the extermination list... for Thursday." Mind you I am calling in on a Friday because the rental office was closed for three days due to a system upgrade. The lack of urgency tells me tenants report this issue almost daily so there's no urgency. I asked the person on the phone, "So what can you all do for me in the mean time? Where is maintenance?" He responded with "maintenance doesn't handle anything with exterminating." There was no customer service there at all. Most times, exterminator comes out and provide traps and maybe spray. Why can't maintenance come out to look for holes to stop the mice from entering the unit?
How is it that rent is due on time, but tenants can't get service on time? I refuse to pay market rent and live with rodents. They aren't mentioned in my lease and I wasn't forewarned before I signed. I feel lied to and bamboozled. I reached out to the property manager via email. Today is the first day off of the weekend and I haven't heard from him as of yet. I will continue to escalate this issue until something is done.
Make living without rodents normal again.
The Phoenix Apartments has a long way to go in customer service. Please don't waste your time with moving here if you aren't prepared to deal with such issues.
