Okay Property, Poor Management
My boyfriend and I lived at Parkside Terrace for about 11 months. We moved out on May 30th of this year. Unfortunately, this is one of those complexes that is resistant to returning deposites. I am still calling (whenever I'm lucky enough to get pass an answering machine), emailing, and meeting them in person asking about my deposit nearly 6 months after I've left the apartments.
I talked to Monica, the property manager—who I gave my forwarding address to the day I moved out along with my... keys—about 3-4 times now and she never fails to tell me that the check should be on the way only to tell me a month later when I call again, still not having received my check, that she doesn't have the correct address but the check was sent. Even after I made the trip to meet her in person where I sat in front of her, told her my address word for word, and watched her type it into a computer, I received an email from her asking for my address again a week later.
Grady Management officially emailed me and my boyfriend last month on the 20th asking about our forwarding address. I was happy to hear someone higher up would be involved now. But, I emailed the manager my address only to hear nothing back. When I had my boyfriend write an email 2 weeks later because I was officially fed up with dealing with this, they replied to him saying I never emailed them the forwarding address even though I cc'd my boyfriend on the same email I replied to them with the address and he received it.
As far as living there is concerned, you don’t really get what you pay for in service repairs. When you send in a request for something to be repaired I wish you luck because if it's something other than unclogging a drain, then their repairman on site cannot fix it and it will take a while to be fixed. Even if someone comes to fix it, the job may not even be fully done. The main reason we actually left before our lease was up was because we saw mice in our apartment on multiple occasions. We found holes in the carpet where it met the walls from the mice eating at them. They were also coming from between the bottom of kitchen counters because they left holes between where the counters connect in corners. We reported this to Monica and she kept saying someone would be out to fix that too and no one ever did even before we moved out 1 and a half to 2 months later.
