1 year lease

Be warned, your apartment may stink of cigarette smoke and dogs bark constantly and leash laws are not enforced. Parking is the biggest weakness of these apartments. In short there are not enough spaces and unless you are lucky enough to have an available carport near your unit you are left to first come first serve parking and will often find yourself taking a long walk from your car to your door with some renters simply taking matters into their own hands and parking illegally on curbs and... handicapped loading areas creating increased likelihood for scrapes and dings on renter vehicles with the resultant cramped lot space.

Great place to live

This is one of the best apartment complexes in the area. Had I not taken a new position further away, I would certainly renew the lease. Quite, great neighbors, clean, and very friendly staff. Anyone looking for an apartment in the Livingston County area should consider this the #1 choice.

Decent Place but Beware of Hidden Fees!!!!!

As far as people, neighborhood, and maintenance goes, I have no real complaints with the Glens. I take issue with the fact that the parent company, Village Green, has hired American Utility Management (AUM-inc) as a vendor to bill each individual resident a water, sewer, and trash bill. AUM is a recklessly incompetent organization that has class action lawsuits filed against it and hundreds of complaints at the Better Business Bureau. AUM will charge you a monthly "convenience fee" of $5... .30/month, in addition to charging at least $30/month for water, sewer, and trash. There are also reports of AUM overcharging residents and not being transparent about bills. I was misled when signing the lease when I was told that water and sewer would be about $10/month, when in fact it was 3.5x this amount!

An extra $35/month may seem like a trivial complaint but it is not disclosed at the time of lease signing and it effectively increases rent. Most apartment complexes pay water, sewer, and trash included in the rent and this is shadow attempt at increasing rent.

In addition, AUM's online system/auto payments set-up is archaic and virtually guarantees that you're automatic payments WON'T be set up right, which means, of course, that they get to charge you a LATE FEE because their own systems are useless. Please implore the Glens staff to dump AUM as a vendor and be honest about the true cost of renting here.

Where I call home.

The Glenn's, quiet, cozy and reasonably affordable. They maybe labeled as apartments, but feel more like a town house. Spacious floor plans with private entrance, in unit washer and drier, community pool, tennis courts and fitness room, very well kepted, friendly staff, and most importantly, pet friendly. Nice little starter place to call home.

I enjoy my apartment!

I moved into The Glens at Rolling Ridge in Howell about four months ago. I really do like these apartments. The atmosphere here is so nice. I also really like the privacy here; Though I am so close to other apartments I have my own private entrance and I feel as if I am actually in a home! The community here is beautiful, I constantly see people walking their dogs. When my cat got out everyone was so helpful and I really appreciated that. The noise here is at a minimum (that or the walls are... just really sound proof)! The only complaint I have about these apartments is the recent construction with the VERY short notice. My neighbors and I had to park on the curbs sometimes a block away from our apartments for a little over a week. Overall I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking for convenience and a home like feel!
