Don’t give them your hard earned money

This place has gone downhill so much in the last few years. There was a fire in the building in April 2022, they are just now (March 2024) getting the new flooring in, some apartments doors were damaged when firefighters had to get in to check them. They were told 6 - 8 weeks, still no doors. They let the caretaker/maintenance go and hired a company to all of it but they are not on a regular schedule and never clean all areas. Dogs aren’t supposed to be allowed but people have dogs and don’t... clean up their crap. There has been a mouse problem 2 winters in a row. They have raised the rent every year we have lived here and this next increase was extra ridiculous. (Almost $100 a month) for what? The pool got closed during COVID and it sits there collecting water, the tarp is ripped, former manager allowed this place to get bad. New manager came and kept getting resistance from corporate trying to make it a decent place again so she got frustrated and left. We went MONTHS without cleaners and a manger now we FINALLY have a manger who will hopefully turn the place around again for present and future residents. As for my roommate and I were moving on, as well as many great neighbors and friends!

This really is just the basics of what is wrong. Peace out Pheasant Park, you get one more months rent from me!

It was fine

I lived there for a year and while it was fine for me during my time there, I was happy to go elsewhere. The third floor would get very hot, especially in the bedroom. The AC is in the living room only. The hallways often smelled and were dark. Many people would leave their laundry sitting in the washers or dryers well past the time they were done, so doing laundry was difficult. There are also only 2 machines per floor so they were almost always being used.

The units themselves were nice. The...
kitchens are updated, there was a ton of storage space in it and the closets too. I loved my deck as well and the underground parking.

Overall, it worked for me for a year but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer.

This place is not worth the money

This place has really gone downhill. First off, management is pretty much nonexistent and good luck if you have a job and need to get a package, they keep changing the office hours to be here less and less and the manager is almost never here. The place is a mess, there are always children running around and leaving their garbage everywhere (despite being told you can't have them unattended, the parents let them run wild). The windows/patio doors/doors are terrible, insulation is awful, in the... winter you need a space heater just to stay warm and in the summer most of the air goes right out the window. Rain comes through the windows too if it storms too hard or the wind is too strong. The management along with the most of the tenants they're bringing in just keep getting worse and worse. Definitely wouldn't recommend the building.

Pheasant Park Apartments

It's an ok place to live. Appliances are old and don't always work, particularly the fridge. The balconies are nicely sized, but weather worn and rough on the feet. If you live on the 3rd floor (of 3 floors), you will be roasting alive. In the summer, if you have no air circulating (no fans, etc), the upper floors get to about 82 degrees F or more. In the winter, it's nice because most of the tenants below prefer warmer climes in their homes and they keep the upper floors toasty. The walls are... also very very thin and the hallways are often really hot and smell of the food being cooked around (1st floor smells of fish most times).

If you are ok with the rent and location, it's an alright place to live. But I suggest looking around a bit first.
