Do not recommend
I lived there for five years. In the beginning everything was great, however, when management changed entire community went downhill. Grounds were not kept , it could take days for maintenance to address an issue ( however, I saw them on smoke breaks multiple times throughout the day), constant noise complaints etc.
After I moved out management tried to charge me for pre-existing damages ( I have proof that those damages were there when I moved in), also tried to charge me for new carpet,... however, I have pictures of condition of my apartment ( including carpet )when I moved out and there were no issues with carpet whatsoever. Even if there would be an issue after 5+ years carpet would have to be changed anyways per normal wear and tear.
They tried to report me to collections for unpaid rent, however , rent WAS paid and I have proof that checks were cashed out.
They never provided any proof of whatever damages they claim - no pictures , no receipts - nothing .
I never took advantage of eviction moratorium, always paid rent on time. It is unfortunate that Hawthorn at the Meadows chose this way to conclude business but what else do you except from lowe class management?
