Run away!

I’ve lived here for nearly three years. The place was great when Eagle Rock managed it. Any problems inside the apartment, they had maintenance here very quickly. They were always transparent in the office of when their availability was, I was very happy then.

It’s very quickly degraded since Sela Realty Investments took it over. Can’t seem to find anyone around, nobody answers the phone. I saw a maintenance guy a couple times. I haven’t seen them in months. I’ve had tickets in their system to...
fix various items. No call, nothing fixed. It’s been months. I have a dryer that doesn’t turn off unless you unplug it, which is an extreme fire hazard. I’d hate to be in a rush and forgetful to turn it off before leaving the apartment, I might not come home to a place to live. This doesn’t appear to be a concern of anyone at Sela. We have faucets that are rusted shut, thankfully they’re in the guest half bath, and due to COVID, we haven’t had company or the need to use it. The microwave door is broken, we have to slam it really hard to get that closed and pull even harder to get it back open. The faucet for the tub in the master bath is pulled away from the wall, leaks so much that the water pressure is nil, and the hot water runs out so even a ten minute shower ends up icy cold. I can only wonder what damage the water is doing that gets behind the wall. I’ve requested these items to be fixed for months now, even requested directly with the maintenance guy when I see him randomly in hopes that he can get there quicker. I’ve called corporate management and the other local offices, no response. I’ve left multiple voicemails, and even left another today. No return calls. I imagine if I stopped payment, they’d be right on top of contacting me.

I would have gladly recommended this community back when I first moved in. The property was immaculate. It did not have all the amenities that we wanted but the property was kept in beautiful shape and I was proud to say that I lived here. My opinion is the furthest opposite now. Rent keeps going up, they’re taking advantage of COVID and people moving out of the more densely populated areas and charging insane rent. They want more, more, more and we get less, less, less. When tenants move out, they fix and replace with cheap materials. I’ve seen hardwood floors replaced with vinyl flooring. It’s very sad to see a once “luxury” apartment community turn into a B or even C grade community. If I could rate this zero stars, I would.
