Apartment Is Not Available, Unprofessional Staff
The apartments are no longer available. But the staff at Bergen Leasing won’t tell you that until after making an appointment to view it and you are already almost at the property. This happened to me this week. I made an appointment to see the junior 1 bedroom in early April when it was listed. According to the leasing agent, it would not be available until April 30 and viewings were only on May 1. I scheduled it early at 9 am. I texted the leasing agent to schedule the appointment. They... confirm and send me all the info about the apartment and requirements for the application. I live an hour away and don’t own a car so I arranged to stay with family who live closer so I can go see it. My mom and I both took off from work to see the apartment. We were about 10 minutes away from the apartment when I texted the leasing agent back to confirm the address and inform them that I will be there shortly. That’s when the agent asks if I have an appointment because there are no vacancies at the property. It was rented 3 weeks prior. No one kept a record of my appointment. They did not inform me that they were not having the viewing anymore because the apartment was rented. They also didn’t inform me that the apartment was rented at all. I was also lied to about when the apartment became available. The leasing agent for this property is highly unprofessional and discourteous of clients’ time. Look elsewhere. Don’t bother working with this leasing agency. They will waste your time.
