The Chateau Apartments

This is a new building that was built properly (and not rushed with cheap installs as so many are in NYC). The rooms are large and well thought out with amenities (large closets, beautiful kitchen, patios, etc). There is a rooftop that is able to be enjoyed privately almost 100% of the time (in 2 years I came across a neighbor only once). It's a pet friendly building with a good gym and responsive management and the on-site super, Joel, is truly the nicest, best guy around. I also never saw a... single bug or rodent in 2 years in the entire building (public spaces included). Just super well kept and a nice place to live (and I've lived in a lot of apartments in 20 years). The interior of the building honestly needs some work, it's disgusting and a shame that it was built so nicely only to be trashed. Missing and broken gym equipment, dirty shared spaces. The live-in super is also pretty useless and unprofessional. Seems like he parties more than he actually fixes anything.

This building has mold in the basement, broken patio furniture, broken theater chairs and dirty gym that is missing equipment. Don’t let the pretty exterior fool you!
