Worst place to live

Many crimes happened in this lot. You’ll be sleep with your family while your car is being broken into and or pieces stolen off your vehicle and the office lady gets pissed because more and more tenants are becoming aware of what’s happening yet they have no security cameras anywhere after telling me we don’t have any but tell other new tenants we are getting them (which we aren’t). A few recordings have surfaced of Rae yelling and shouting at tenants with a followed justification (its a lot... going on or her favorite ok but I’m just trying to help). It’s never ok to yell at tenants because you are frustrated and all of these Portland Manor lies are coming to surface it’s disgusting and very insensitive. So many tenants are starting to realize what’s going on as many health care professionals are starting to be affected. Something may not be done immediately but with neighbors standing together THINGS WILL BE CHANGED! It’s so disgusting how she’s rude to so many people.

Lots of health concerns

I have lived here since 2011 in a 1 bedroom up until 2016 then moved into a 2 bedroom upstairs apartment. I never had a issue up until we moved into the 2 bedroom the windows were bad and management knew it. Michelle was awesome and would send a maintenance guy over once every two weeks too check and make sure there was no mold because we had a new born. Well Michelle went on too bigger and better opportunities and the new property manager Margae said it was our responsibility and would not take... responsibility for bad windows and said it was because of the aquarium. The aquarium I had since 2011 set up in the old apartment that never had the mold issues. I went to the town of irondeqouit and they said " Minor mold and mildew is tenants responsibility unless there is a major issue like the broken window seals causing it and that it's the property owners responsibility to get the issue fixed". Well that never happened so we moved out spring 2019 and had to break the lease because our 2 year daughter. The mold was getting worse and worse weekly window cleanings and was starting on back room ceiling and property manager refused to do anything. I will remove this review once you remove the unfair debt from credit report we paid the month we moved and had to break lease because of the issues

I don't know about all of the buildings in the complex but the one my mother lives in used to have a handrail at the exterior entrance. When she first started living there she asked that another railing be installed. Two years later there is still no handrail! It is a serious condition with the kind of winters we have in Rochester. She did slip and fall last winter. Fortunately she was not seriously injured!
Next time she may not be so lucky!because of this situation I am rating them two star....
If and/or when they install a handrail, I would upgrade their rating considerably.
