Stay Away!

I have NEVER posted a review before, but I am BEGGING you stay FAR away from this building & landlord for your own safety!

-In the fall of 2018, the NYC dept of building posted multiple notices that our boiler & gas lines were defective. In Feb of 2019, I woke up at 4 a.m. to get a glass of water. I opened my bedroom door and the entire apartment was filled with smoke. They had never fixed our boiler and it caught on fire. 0 fire alarms in the building went off.

-For the security of the...
tenants still there, I will leave our specific details, but when someone was locked out, our landlord told them it was "easy" to get in and gave instructions. We were able to "break in" on the 5th try. The front door also consistently has trouble locking.

-The landlord, workers, brokers, came in without warning or permission.

-We didn't have a lease for 6 months, and no one noticed until we called about a mouse problem.
