About Monterey at Park Apartments

Welcome to the beautiful Monterey at Park, located at 30 Park Avenue- one of Murray Hill’s preeminent full service rental buildings. Originally built in 1955 by world renowned architect Emery Roth & Sons, 30 Park has been beautifully and tastefully... updated through the years to meet the standards of New York’s most sophisticated of renters. The building features a handful of terrific and friendly tenured doormen, high speed elevators, a brand new state of the art resident lounge and game room, renovated lobby, expansive fitness facility, attached garage, and central laundry room with plenty of machines including a few large format machines for linens/blankets. Apartments feature fantastic open layouts, genuine hardwood floors, unrivaled closet space, newly renovated white marble bathrooms, stainless steel full sized kitchens with granite counter tops, and large sunny windows. Majority of the buildings’ layouts allow seamless conversions for extra bedrooms.

Used to be good. Losing quality

The new management has a poor system to manage the building. Everything used to be more personal. Now they have a central management deal with many things including booking an elevator. Have to email back and forth extremely inconvenient. Front desk kept changing and attitude getting poor also. Some front desk people rejected tenant letter without consultation. Some showed very poor manner towards tenant about to leave the building. All in all, used to be a nice building. Now losing its edge.

21 years and still going strong!

It's hard to believe that I've lived in this apartment for 21 years. Having moved from Hoboken (yes, there is such a place), it was my first (and only) apartment in New York City. I was excited to move here. I did it out of necessity, because my work hours were becoming more and more demanding. And even though Hoboken is relatively close, coming back there at 4am was getting to be too much. Although a studio and kind of small, I love this apartment; the location and the building staff are... great! My apartment doesn't face the street, so it's generally very quiet--something that I treasure about it. I also like being able to see the Empire State Building from my window. Come on by and we'll have a cup of coffee and I'll play you some of the music I'm working on...
