Very expensive, not very nice
I cannot recommend living at The Boulevard at Oakley Station.
I will start with the cons of this apartment complex:
Packages frequently lost or stolen - to find any package shipped to you, you generally have to look in the following areas: package room, both entrances to your building, outside of your apartment building, the front office, or outside your apartment door (if you're lucky). Approximately 15% of the things I order are stolen, lost, or otherwise never received.
Very large rent... increases after your first year - the renewal rate that I was offered was over $300 more than the prices listed on the complex's website. The office ignores questions about the discrepancy or claims that they have no control over rent prices (a computer program tells them what to charge).
Extremely loud train noise - the apartments are built next to train tracks which are active and extremely loud at all hours of the day and night. I asked the leasing agent about the noise level while touring the complex and he assured me the noise wasn't an issue.
The apartments look nice but are poorly built. My heat and air conditioning have not worked properly the majority of the time that have I lived here. I had to submit 6 separate maintenance tickets to get my AC fixed in the summer. My apartment would get up to about 88 degrees most days. Additionally, the walls are thin and you can often hear your neighbors.
The pros of living at The Boulevard at Oakley Station:
Walkability - You can walk to the grocery store, a brewery, and several restaurants. You aren't in the "fun" part of Oakley, but the walkability is still good.
Looks - Your poorly built, expensive apartment will have a granite countertop and stainless appliances.
