Terrible apartment
Service sucks, everything is at least 10 years old and needs replacing and they charge way too much for something they don’t deserve.

Son moved in just after a management change. The manager we had dealt with over the phone totally misrepresented pretty much everything about the place. We leased a 2 bed, paid the deposit and rent on line a couple of months prior to our move in date. They had him assigned to a 4 bed, not a 2 bed. There was one 2 bed unoccupied, so they put him there. It was filthy, even after their cleaners had been there, there were roaches, and the room mate had an unauthorized dog, who had chewed all of the... baseboards and door facings, as we as the window sill and the blinds. The dog had chewed up the sofa and urinated on it. It had chewed the coffee table. And , surprise surprise, the apartment smelled like a kennel. We are now almost 2 months in, and almost none of it has been resolved. They did replace the sofa with a worn and dusty one, but it was urine free, so I guess that's a win. Water leaked from the ceiling in the bathroom, and water leaked into the living room when it rained. They had an interim manager in from out of town, who gave us a lot of lip service and lied to us about the action they were taking to rectify the situation. Now, a third manager is there. We hope she can help. Initially they refused to allow my son to move into another unit. Now they say they will, but can't give a date. That's great, with classes starting soon. Additionally, our lease says apartment A, he's in B. No key card for the computer and study area, no mail box key. He is living completely out of his bedroom, because the common areas are too nasty to use. So mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot all in his small room so he can eat roach free. The situation with the room mate is awkward at best, and potentially unsafe at worse. We are from out of town. I would advise you look before you leap. Pay no mind to online photos, etc. You need to go physically inspect it before signing anything.

My son has lived at CEV for over two years now. Any issues were addressed properly as long as he reported it to the staff as instructed. They have numerous activities and free meals for the tenants. Anyone that has negative remarks didn’t address their issues properly or just upset in general. Great place!! ????????

First of all, you do not get what you pay for. Second, if you ever have an issue whether it be your AC going out (like ours did) or lights in the outside hallway go out, don’t expect things to get promptly fixed. Someone will tell you “It’s on the list of things to do,” and you’ll get blown off for over a month. Third, when we first moved in, nothing had been cleaned so we spent the first week trying to move in and clean our apartment as we went. Employees told us it would be cleaned by the time... we arrived and sure enough it was not. There was a multitude of damage floors and walls from the previous owners that were never cleaned nor fixed. We confronted management, they said they were working on it and no one ever showed up.
When we first arrived here, I was hardly dressed when I woke up to a CEV employee inviting himself inside my apartment claiming I called about an emergency leak. He instantly cursed under his breath when I told him he had the wrong apartment and left. I went in to alert the staff to this invasion of privacy and they claimed it was all okay because it was an emergency and someone apparently called in the wrong apartment number. We never called about any leak, but it seemed like the whole staff was happy to blow it off as some sort of happy accident. Not to mention you’d think someone who had an actual emergency would be around to answer the door when they had just called. Then inspections come around and because of the aforementioned incident and the invasion of privacy we request to be home during the inspection and make an appointment for Monday 11/12/2018 between 3-7. Six o’clock rolls around and no one has showed up so we call and we’re informed the two people doing inspections today decided not to because apparently the weather is too bad to walk into someone’s apartment and do the inspection. Now we are stuck in a year lease with an apartment complex run by college students who can’t seem to run it properly. After you fork over $500 (the rates are now increasing) monthly to stay here (which is extremely over priced for what you can get elsewhere) they treat you like you’re nothing more than a number on a door. Could never recommend living here to anyone. The staff can never give you a straight forward answer on anything.
