Trust me, you want to live here.

I was lucky enough to call this place home from Feb 2018 - Jan 2019 and this was by far the best living experience. The apartments look great, they provide plenty of light, they're quiet, and the property is well maintained. The property manager, Heather W. is a great person who is easy to communicate with and treats everyone with respect. The neighbors were friendly and respectful, I never had to complain about noise or disruptions. This is unit 203, or as I refer it to, home, and I wouldn't be... surprised if in the near future I found my way back to King Street Lofts.
My unit was 203, I had a balcony, floor to ceiling windows, stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, and modern looking finishes. This was a luxury apartment at a great monthly price!

Brand new and expensive, but high-quality

Brand new, so everything still works. Soundproofing is not as good as it could be, but isn't horrible either. Shower water pressure is adequate if not incredible. Tap water tastes a bit funny but is drinkable. The bike rack functions but is a bit awkward to use, both due to its design and its placement. No built-in lighting for the bedroom (I'm in a single-room) but the lighting from the living room is adequate to cover for it, due to the open-wall plan. The appliances are equally new and all... work great. The elevator is conveniently large for bicycles and furniture. The stairs are useable and fully painted unlike many places, but still a bit cramped.

So far, the manager has been extremely quick to respond to any of my questions via email and has been very friendly overall. I have yet to have a complaint, so I have no idea how that will go ever yet. So far the neighbors have mostly been respectful about noise on weeknights.

The neighborhood emblamizes the gentrification process portland is undergoing. Whether that means "exciting new developments", "disgusting bougies", or "ew poor people near me" is up to you, I guess.

Has a one-application-per-apartment policy, which is a breath of fresh air compared to most places in portland.
