An Upsetting & Unsafe Experience
I’m extremely disappointed with King Street Lofts. After leaving an empty and clean space upon our move out, they still charged us an egregious cleaning fee that took 75% of our security deposit for a 500 sq foot space over items they would do regardless such as re-painting the walls we had left white and untouched. When I reached out to them over my concerns, my voicemail and email inquiries went completely unanswered, which sadly mirrors the broader issues we faced during our time living here... .
Throughout our residency, police were called to our floor no fewer than five times due to domestic disputes or tragedies—a situation I have never encountered elsewhere. Perhaps most distressingly, our next-door neighbor tragically took their own life, causing our apartment to flood. Despite this devastating and disruptive event, King Street Lofts management made no effort to contact us, offer accommodations while we were displaced, or even provide a notice or acknowledgment to residents regarding the situation.
If these incidents weren’t concerning enough, here is a list of additional unpleasant experiences you might encounter while living here:
Frequent gunshots heard from outside.
Houseless individuals loitering around the building.
Multiple tenants allowing their dogs to relieve themselves near the main entrance and stairwell, resulting in pervasive urine odors.
Cockroaches in the dumpster room.
Noise from upstairs neighbors, sometimes continuing throughout the night.
Heather, the acting Property Manager, was consistently rude and unhelpful which was widely known throughout the building.
Living here was an upsetting and unsafe experience. I cannot recommend King Street Lofts.
