Misery
The property management company, JLE Properties consistently assumes a callous, deceitful, irresponsible, rigid and often outright-hostile posture with its tenants. Especially the property manager herself and especially in instances when a tenant reports or complains of: building and apartment malfunctions, lack of community patio upkeep, on-site crime, safety hazards, broken elevators, etc. Lots of building malfunctions occur pretty regularly.
Report any of these things to the property... manager and the tenant will likely either get no response or will receive a response from her denying any responsibility for the problem — or even that there IS a problem — followed by a curt, retaliatory “offer” to move out if you don’t like living here — rather than engaging in receptive, courteous, constructive and professional conversation to solve the problem. This is the refrain I and many others experience and talk about with one another regularly. The tenants have by and large been perfectly nice folks, and yet I hear people talk all the time about how it just FEELS unfriendly living here, especially if you need something addressed. Just as another reviewer said: I, too, regret every cent spent living here. You’ve been warned.
