Trash complex
If you're considering Inkwell at Watters Creek, I recommend looking elsewhere. My experience was dreadful:
1. The management and leasing staff were unprofessional and unhelpful. The original team left, and the new staff were rude and indifferent to tenant concerns.
2. The property is consistently dirty, with stained hallways, bad odors, and trash. Management’s cost-cutting led to a decline in cleanliness.
3. Pest control is inadequate. Despite treatments, cockroaches and ants persisted,... especially on the rear side of the building.
4. The pool area is monitored excessively by security guards, who enforce minor rules while ignoring the no-smoking policy.
5. The building is poorly constructed with thin walls and unreliable appliances. Plumbing issues went unresolved as management failed to follow up.
6. Security deposits are hard to recover. Many residents, including myself, have lost a significant portion.
7. Rent increases are steep, with hikes up to 30% based on market rate software. Ongoing lawsuits against similar practices reveal the broader issue.
The only positive aspect is the maintenance staff, who are diligent and hardworking despite the broader management failures. Avoid Inkwell at Watters Creek; there are better-managed, cleaner properties nearby.
