Loved living here

My fiancée lived here for 4 years and we lived here together for 2 years. We had a great experience. Staff and maintenance were very responsive. Location was great. Amenities inside the apartment and on the grounds were fantastic. Good value for the location, size and furnishings. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal Urban & Upscale Downtown Living

I’ve lived in Katy, MedCenter, Galleria, Westchase & I honestly without can say WOW it’s crazy to believe I have been missing out my whole life! The Susanne is a hidden gem, walkable distance to Coffee District, HEB Dunlavy Montrose, and with its location you are a cheap 5-10 min Uber ride to Downtown, Galleria, Rivero Oaks , Rice Village, Museum & Medical Districts. Staff is super friendly and everything’s immaculate. The Susanne redifines true luxury quality and convenice for any lifestyle !

Good location, bad experience

Nice location and it looks good on the outside but unfortunately the experience does not live up to the expectations. Our list of issues included: Incredibly slow to get hot water in the morning (up to 5 minutes), when people above us flushed their toilets, it was like a tornado was happening inside the wall in our bedroom - we had to sleep with a white noise maker to not be woken up. The security gates were constantly broken and the garbage chute was frequently backed up with garbage. ... My $500 mountain bike was stolen right out of their secure bicycle cage and it was not uncommon for cars to be broken into inside the garage. However, the icing on the cake was the management withholding over $500 of our $700 security deposit for what has always been considered normal wear and tear at every other apartment in which I have lived. I would stay away....

THE BEST!!

This is the best and most beautiful place I have ever lived. Modern, well designed apartments in the middle of an historic neighborhood full of trees and quiet streets to walk along. Just to top it off is the luck of being right across the street from the great HEB grocery store. The staff is efficient, intelligent and very easy to get along with.

You don't quite get what you pay for...

The reality is that at the Susanne, you don't quite get what you pay for. Among the highest rents in town, especially for non-high rise. The fixtures are cheap, the appliances are cheap, loud, and break frequently, dishwasher is subpar as compared to other apartments we've lived in. There's leaks everywhere, people let their pets go to the bathroom inside and it will sometimes sit there for days, fairly frequent breakins, etc.

Morgan, the manager, is very nice, but the rest of the staff is...
typical apartment management - losing packages, rude, act like you're putting them out every time you ask them something...just the general "once we have your money, we don't want to be your friend anymore" stuff.

The only value you're getting here is the HEB across the street. But, there's now more-and-more units going in around the area that have similarly-enticing locations. I would look at those. I'm sure management will still be terrible, but at least maybe the apartments will be nice.
