Money hungry
Cromwell and it’s staff are a joke. They say they value community and families but all they really care about is money. We moved in July 2021. Everyone was nice and super accommodating. Shortly after a new neighbor moved in below us. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children. The first day they moved in said neighbor knocked on the door to say we were being too loud at 4pm in the afternoon. Second time said neighbor banged on our roof with a broom -again middle of the day. All incidents were... reported to the office and any further communication was to be done through the office. Which I always complied with. Please also note quiet hours are from 10pm- 7am.
The last and final straw with me was when the said neighbor called the police on my young children for playing because she worked over night. Again, we were not violating the quiet hours. Furthermore, the police never actually talked to me because it’s a noise complaint for absolutely nothing. Which I proceeded to hear said neighbor on her balcony talking about calling the police. Which then she decided to take it upon herself to knock on my door. After 4 separate incidents I let her know she was not to come up to my apartment again. Resulting in her feeling threatened and we were asked to leave the community in 3 days. 3 days with two kids to accommodate a young woman who had completely unreasonable living standards. Which also came out of the mouth of an employee at the Cromwell. Who also looked me in my face 10 days prior and told me that we were okay and not to worry. They told us they couldn’t work with us and had to go through the lawyer who contacted us. However, said lawyer never returned any of calls.
So we complied and left like we were asked. The day we left the said neighbor was outside in her car for two straight hours recording and laughing while my children and I leaving. I emailed the complex to let them know and of course got no response. They however have no problem emailing and not going through a lawyer to reach out for money. We were never late on our rent and always did what was expected of us as residents.
The market was crazy at the time and it was very hard for us to find a house which is why we went with an apartment. For a complex and the staff to let allow a family to be harassed and take no action is unacceptable.
