University Apartments at Ettrick

Place has mold everywhere. Filthy when you MOVE IN. Pets use the bathroom any and everywhere. Loud barking and sounds of feet keep you up at night. Loud music. Parties. Literally everything you don’t want in an apartment is Ettrick. Please don’t be fooled by the fake reviews from the students that were given chips and pizza to give a good review to cover up what’s REALLY going on here.

My experience in ettrick apartments is the worst experience I have ever had. I have an entire list of everything that is wrong. First, my, nor any of my roommates, front door keys does not work and never did. I have called and put in multiple maintenance request and they sent a maintenance man to check and he never fixed it. And they still charged for the maintenance… Second, when we try to get visitors parking passes, they are never available even though there never be any cars in that area at... night. Next, they are forever unprofessional that they do not notify us, the students, ahead of time about any deadlines or if maintenance have to come to our apartments to work on anything. They’ve locked me out of my own apartment many times when they do because OUR KEYS DO NOT WORK! Most recently, they notify us with less than 3 hours before they close the office that towing will begin the next day if we do not have up to date parking passes. Parking passes are $200. Ridiculous!!! Then when you try to contact them to address the issue, no one answers… not even the on call manager. If I was stuck out of my apartment right now, I would just have to sleep in my car. They do not consider the fact that we are students and that a lot of us that are in these apartments are students with minimum parent support who have to pay their way through school by our selves. So when asked to charge the parking pass to the rent that is being covered by financial aid, they do not allow that. Also, students are being charged other random fees that is not rent and being forced to either pay or be kicked out. That’s only the half of it. All of this happening while the managers are sitting lavish. Don’t believe any of these reviews saying positive things about this place because it is all FAKE!!! The only reason my apartment is “one of the only decent apartment” is because thankfully I have roommates that are clean and have great decorating skills and know how to COVER UP!!! Our stove is forever breaking and WE have to fixed or will be charged for them coming in an putting a screw…like really? Then, when we moved in, our rooms were NOT cleaned what so ever. My experience at ettrick has been positive. My apartment was clean when I moved in and maintenance has improved on fixing issues more quickly.

So far living here has been a positive experience. The front office staff and maintenance are pretty responsive to any issues/complaints that residents have.

Ettrick is a much better place to live than on campus. The people that work in the office are helpful and nice.
