Moving in soon !

I just want to take a moment and thank the management and staff . We are in transition of moving back . Working for the government , government freeze, etc . The property manager and staff have been amazing at working with us and helping us through this trying time . They all have been great at meeting our needs , being supportive and kind why we wait ! We are very excited to get home and settled into our new place . They have made everything so easy so far with giving us virtual tours , making... time to give us in person tour when we were home for one day . They have made sure we have their emails, phone numbers and kept up with us with everything going on. I have never felt so welcomed or so secured in an apartment complex . I look forward to working with them ! Thank you all

As of August 7th, 2024: nice spaces, good amenities for what is open, but continuing security and fire alarm problems

TLDR: As of August 7th, 2024—amenities currently open: pool, gym, clubhouse. Current issues: frequent fire alarms, no controlled access for paid parking garage, or elevators/the building itself, and construction that will likely go on for a while.

I’m not writing this to persuade someone in one way or another, but I do want people to have more information than I did before signing the lease.

Pro’s: apartment spaces themselves are really nice. The apartment, its kitchen, the counterspace,...
in-unit washer/dryer, fridge/sink/dishwasher, etc. is all fantastic. The open amenities are great and fun to use.

Con’s, starting with the most recent: the fire alarms. Fire alarms have now gone off on three separate days (one night, four times alone) for no declared reason; they have stated they will work on resolving the problem, but it’s only gotten worse. Aside from that, alarm tests are very annoying and very frequent.

Next is the problem I don’t want to publicly disclose but is necessary: parking and security. Currently, each tenant has one included spot per unit, and can pay $125 per month per extra car. In the lease, this is for a protected garage only for tenants and one guest per tenant. Currently, anyone can park in the garage, and assuming a car doesn’t look “suspicious”, nothing will be done about it. Security walks around at night, but they do NOT have access to license plate numbers. They can’t even run plates to see who’s a tenant and who isn’t. Management said that residents should report cars, but we also don’t know everyone’s license plate numbers…

Security (or lack thereof): the garage does not have controlled access currently, and neither does the rest of the building. Anyone can get to my door without swiping anything, putting in any code, etc. Only security can stop someone if they see someone and decide to. Also, the door locks are battery powered; when that’s out, they stay unlocked until replaced.

I feel completely deceived. NOTHING of the aforementioned problems was mentioned to me before signing. When speaking to management, they continually deflect or regurgitate useless info. Management even blatantly lied to my face, telling me months ago that controlled access was almost certainly in the coming weeks, and the roof would be done in time for a July 4th party; many months later: no change.

There are some great things about this building, but please heed the information above before signing.
