Do not move here

This is the only review worth reading. Do not move here, the 5 star reviews are written by tenants who just moved in and have no knowledge of the property, the people who own it, or the leasing office staff. They were also asked by property management to write good reviews. Dobler management will not give tenants leases and they are raising rent every 6 months. They'll try to sell you on being month to month and able to move out at any time but it's only month to month so they can continue to... raise rent every 6 months. The apartments were cheaply built, floors and ceilings are paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbors are doing, yes everything. The other reviews rave about the gate, the gate never works and hasn't worked for a consistent amount of time since it was completed in 2021. Cars are broken into constantly and the property owners won't hire any security and are too cheap to put security cameras throughout the property. Every time the gate is broken, which is all the time, there is no urgency to get it fixed and it takes over a month or months. When it snows and freezes they don't have any staff to clear the property and will leave the sidewalks a complete sheet of ice. Residents were falling during the storm Dec. 2021. The property owners refused to hire people to come and clear the snow and ice. We lost the best maintenance person, Darrell. Ashley never sent out an email to say the Darrell had left, he'd been there 3 years. The new person doesn't even say hi or acknowledge tenants as he walks the property. Dobler is cheap and are horrible property owners. They will charge you to clean the carpet after you move out. Everywhere I have ever lived there's never a charge; it's part of turning the apartment over or part of the non-refundable $400 pet deposit.

Miss it already!

My stay at 1500 Orchard was nothing short of great. Never any issues - neighbors, maintenance and management were all fantastic. Seriously, I never heard a peep from anyone or anything. The apartments are so big and spacious, my one bedroom was so big with tons of storage. Melanie is the best property manager ever! So sad I had to relocate, but thank you for making my stay the best! I miss you already!

Disappointed

I debated between 2 and 3 stars. On the surface this apartment complex seems great. Very clean, new units, etc. However it’s ended up being a frustrating place to live. The assigned parking spots, that you have to pay $35 for, are too small for trucks and SUVs. If you have one and park next to another truck/SUV good luck not hitting them or the overhang supports. Despite all amenities being closed since early spring there hasn’t been any portion of the rent credited back. The pool, hot tub,... tanning bed, and gym were big sellers for me and I haven’t been able to use them even once. You have to pay an expensive non-refundable fee if you own a pet that doesn’t seem to cover anything besides the two pet waste stations in the complex. Expect to pay more mandatory fees when you move out for cleaning since you have a pet. And then when it comes time to move in/out there are almost zero areas where you can actually fit a UHAUL/moving truck near the buildings so expect to walk 100-300m with all your household goods. Oh and there’s only cardboard recycling, expect to just throw away all your plastic and glass.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your brand-new clean home but understand that there might have been a misunderstanding regarding the pet fee when the contract was signed. It does state that... the fees do not go toward cleaning or damages, but we do not charge a monthly pet rent like other properties, so we believe the residents are saving money in the long run.

We completely understand your frustration regarding the amenities being closed while we comply with the mandates due to COVID-19. While these amenities are not available, we have kept as much open as possible including the greenbelts, walking trails, EV charging stations and our staffed onsite management team. We hope to open back up for everyone to enjoy the perks in the near future!

Carport assignments are based off the location of your home. Some larger vehicles might have a harder time parking in their assigned spots, but there is also ample uncovered parking as well that you are more than welcome to take advantage of. We are more than happy to help accommodate a moving truck. We have found a few locations that seem to be working well for our residents. Please contact the office and we will be more than happy to assist!

Super helpful staff and great location

Me and my husband recently moved from Texas to Washington. While we were in the process of choosing a location to live through the Internet only, Marissa and the rest of the staff were super helpful and responded to every concern perfectly. During our move in, another leaser and Marissa had a great positive attitude and they made the whole cross country stressful process much easier. Zero complaints since living here, clean location and convenient distance from downtown Tacoma.

We still haven't gotten our money back....

I'd give it zero stars if I could. First of all, they are not very organized and the customer service isn't the best. They rarely pick up the phone. When you e-mail them their response is cutting and short. Both my husband and I started the application. I submitted mine and he didn't. He asked somebody from the office if he will get charged even thought he didn't submit it. She said no. And then, of course, He ended up getting $200 deposit taken and two $50 taken out of his account. I got $250... taken out of my account. The manager blamed my us for submitting two applications even though I'm the only one that submitted it in the end. Lets just say its been a month since they told us they'll send us our money back. But I haven't gotten anything. E-mailed them, no response so far. I'll update if there are any changes.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry to hear that your experience with us was not 100% seamless. We have had an overwhelming amount of interest on this property and while we do our best to answer all of the calls we receive, sometimes...
this is not possible when we are on the line with another prospective resident or out on tour. We do email back as quickly as you can - my apologies if you felt our responses were short! We try and keep things as clear and concise as possible.

As for your refund, our system does not take any money from an applicant unless an application is submitted. If an application was submitted on a secondary guest card, then the $200 payment would be charged (in addition to the one you were charged) as the system does not recognize that the applications are together - you must apply on a linked application if you are applying as co-applicants. I have not received any additional emails from you since your application was cancelled. We are processing this refund as we speak and you should receive this check in the mail soon! Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any additional questions!
