This is the best places to live in Davis
This is the best place to live in Davis. The apartment grounds are kept clean and neat. Mostly young working professionals, graduate students, and families live here so there's not any loud music playing late into the night. This neighborhood in general feels very safe I never worried about talking my dog at night because there's often other people walking their dogs as well. There is surprisingly a lot of fun stuff to do around this neighborhood. Across the street is a large drive-through... Starbucks, Nugget, a fantastic Japanese and Mexican restaurant. Top notch food in that shopping center. You are around the corner to Target, TJ Maxx, about 5 minutes walking distant to a nice park, 5 mins driving to a Nature Reserve with a River (dont recommend swimming in it but fun to explore), 7 minute drive to a 10 acre dog park, 7 minutes drive to an archery range and golf course, there are many intricate hidden bike/walking paths intertwined in the neighborhoods of El Macero. You can get from El Macero Village from UCD on just hidden bike paths alone no need to manage busy roads. You can trek this distance in about a 20-25 minute bike ride. Theres also Unitrans services the area too. On top of all the perks of this area El Macero Village is an affordable price for the growing, overwhelming rental prices of Davis. I wish I had started at El Macero Village and stayed there the whole time I was in Davis. Since I spoke a lot about the good things I will mention some of the bad things: you should not leave items in your car as car break-ins are relatively common being right off the I-80 highway. Its also important to lock bikes down into place, I have had a bike stolen from the back patio. I assume they lifted it out or hopped into my patio. Of course will all places locking doors and windows is imperative. Even with those bad experiences El Macero Village is a great place to live.
