Oak Grove Apartments

I must admit that it is located in a quiet neighborhood. Small complex. Everyone looks out for everyone. No issues. Older building, but big rooms and bathroom, and good amenities. But it is hard to get through to management. I recently had the coronavirus, followed by a stroke the day i was finally able to go back to work. Trying to contact them in regards to rent reduction, or anything for that matter is hard. I understand we all get busy. I had no income for over a month. Still trying to get a... hold of them. Frustrating because i dnt want to be evicted. Ugh Lee mas

I moved into the Oak Grove last Nov. I came from out of state so I didn't see the cottage until I got here to move in. There was a few hiccups at first but the manager and maintenance would quickly address and make corrections. These are older apartments but I like that because the rooms are bigger. Its a quiet area of town and other than the kids playing outside there's not a lot outside noises.

They’re remodeling these homes, but it’s essentially putting lipstick on a pig. They’re old and have a lot of problems. Our A/C unit barely worked. Our heater went out for almost an entire month during the dead of winter. Our freezer stopped working a few months in. Our neighbors roof leaked and was told it’d be months before they fixed it. I was Told I wouldn’t have access to my apt during the day for a week while they repaired dry rot in the stairs. They raised our rent by $90 the first year,... then raised it again the second year, and added a water fee. The cherry on top is they charged us a $150 cleaning fee when we left. Even though they admitted they would be renovating the entire apt. Floors, paint, counters, appliances, the whole thing. So what did they clean, I wonder? Not to mention we left the apt spotless.
