Favorite Place to Live in Chicago
I spent 16 years in Chicago with the last 2.5 years at Hubbard Place. Over that time, I lived in approximately ~10 high rises, and I can say that Hubbard Place was unequivocally my favorite. Without exception, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are top notch, and the community parties are by far the most fun/elaborate of any building I've been to, including apartments I didn't live in myself. My only very minor complaint is that the elevators tend to be very slow.... However, with its location near the north branch of the Chicago river, the westward views are fairly unimpeded, so you can have beautiful expansive views without being on a high floor, which helps mitigate any concerns around the elevators and saves money on rent.
Overall, I'd say any apartment search in downtown Chicago should include consideration for Hubbard Place.
