Misleading dates and missing (no) amenities
My roommate and I were very excited to move into these new apartments. However, since we put the application in, it seems to be one issue after another. It started with being told the day AFTER we put in an application (and paid the non refundable fee) that the apartment wouldn’t be completed for the move in date (which was 8 days after the advertised start date). We then had to scramble and pay a lot of extra money for a 3 week lease at our current apartments. In addition, we were told on our... tour that the clubhouse and all the amenities would be completed at the end of April-early may. Then it was the end of May. Now it’s the end of July... That means we will go 1/3 of our lease without any of the stated amenities, including the expected pool for the majority of this very hot summer. When I went to the leasing office to ask for money back on rent due to lack of amenities, they stated that they were sorry but they couldn’t do anything. It now feels like we are paying way too much for an apartment with no amenities. It is especially frustrating when it looked for a month and half as if no progress was made on the clubhouse or pool and there has been no communication whatsoever with the residences as far as updates on amenities. I wouldn’t recommend living here until they figure things out and the entire complex is actually open or you will be overpaying.
