2 different buildings/units, tons of issues
I gave the one star only because the young men in the office are pretty good to work with, especially Ahmon. My 1st unit (called 1st Fl but is actually a ground apt) had at least 10 times sewer water flooding in my apt, all documented. I have pics & videos & maintenance requests to prove it. It got so common that I could hear a certain noise the toilet made & would call them to tell them it’s about to happen. I had issues with the heat being so hot my 1st winter I kept the windows open the... whole time. Then it got fixed but made slamming noises that you could hear outside. You can’t sleep through that. I had to move to another unit because I was missing work, my daughter even missed some school to help me clean sewer water up. A neighbor said her sister lived in my unit & had the same problems! 2nd unit, I had to pay for my move even though it was because of their issues. I am currently dealing with heat that is either way too hot or too cold. I am waiting for maintenance to come about my heat not working like it should. First request was 12/19, second was 12/21 with a pic of my thermometer (which I bought because of this) showing 61 inside & temps outside were plunging. I called 12/30 to complain & was told they would try to get someone out asap. I called again 1/3 & was told it was being put on the managers desk. It is now 2/5 & I haven’t got any communication. Nothing almost 7 weeks later. Also, if you are more than 5 days late with rent you get a $100 late fee & a knock on the door within a week or so with a bright red threatening letter taped to your door showing the amount you owe… not even 30 days late. If you want visitors after 9pm you have to pay $5 a night & you can only get it if the office is open & only with a money order. So if you have an emergency situation like someone needs to stay Saturday night? They can’t! They will get towed even if they are in the visitors spot. My hands are tied so I have to stay here for now but if you can help it, save yourself the trouble. I haven’t even mentioned the gunshots, police presence, tenants fighting & being loud (and I’m in one of the quieter apartments), outdated, dirty halls, broken outside door locks, hard water which is constantly shut off, pool barely open enough for use because of maintenance, etc. I could go on & on. Just don’t.
