Much to be desired from management
My husband and I have lived at Eagle Rock Apartments since 2021. The apartments changed hands in late 2022 from Georgetown Apartments to Eagle Rock. Before Matt (who worked for Georgetown) left to find better employment, this was a great place to live. Matt made sure to send updates to residents (paper and email) regularly, was quick to respond to issues, and deeply cared about the residents.
We had high hopes for Eagle Rock when they took over. Hazim was personable and on top of issues. By... spring of 2023, however, we began to see a shift in management. We are not informed of what is happening on the property. We came home from work one day and the hallways were suddenly being painted, with nails left sticking out of the wood! Eagle Rock had not communicated anything to their residents about this work via paper or email. We have pets, but were suddenly told that our door needed to be left open for hours after the painting had finished. When large maintenance projects are being done, we'd normally expect to be informed ahead of time to have necessary preparations made. Instead, a folded sheet of paper was left on each door after the fact.
Not only are we not regularly notified of happenings on the property, the leasing office is extremely difficult to get a hold of. In the past month, we have gone to the leasing office three times, and each time found the door locked (while a leasing agent was present) and had to be let in. We've also arrived at the office during the posted hours countless times to find no one around and no sign posted to state whether they are closed or out touring the property. When reporting issues with residents leaving trash in the common areas, we have been told by the leasing agents that they are "aware of the issue", yet it is common to see the trash left out for a whole day. There is no swift resolution.
Our issue is not with the apartments themselves. The building is great and the location is very convenient. However, the way management communicates (or fails to) with the residents leaves much to be desired.
