Process was rude and tedious
I applied to this place planning to move from my current apartment to here. Not only was the application approval process long and tedious (around 2 weeks and a half to even get my application processed). But the property manager was telling me that I had to break my lease and pay the breaking fees for my current apartment before I even get an approval from them. This was basically putting my living space in jeopardy but also my money because what if they somehow denied me and they made me break... my lease beforehand? I would have been out of a home and $3,000. I tried to explain this to them and they basically didn’t care and said I had to do it in order to get a decision on my application. Nevertheless, I looked for other apartments and I asked each leasing agent from then on what their process was for people with previous leases and told them my experience and each one said that my experience with West Creek shouldn’t have happened and realistically I should have been given an approval or denial before making me break any lease or fees (giving up my home). After all this, they said my holding fee was non-refundable. Therefore, if you want somewhere that you’ll know your status quickly and are willing to see things from their applicants POV and be sympathetic, don’t move here.
