Centre at Silver Spring Apartamentos

Recently, the property was sold to another company. Since then:

- Maintenance has declined in response time, professionalism, and quality. Maintenance has moved from prevention of problems to waiting until a situation becomes untenable before responding. Certian repairs (especially stairwells and fire alarm systems) have taken unacceptably long to address.

- Trash removal has become an issue, with piles of rubbish strewn throughout the property. Local company no longer routinely removes trash... and rubbish.

- Firelanes routinely blocked by parked cars.

- Significant increase in pests due to property cleanliness issues, outside control of tenants.

- Nearly 8 months have gone by with a lock on a maintenance access hatch being visibly and clearly broken into, and no repairs.

We did not have this level of issues before the property became managed by Acento. Lee mas

Great place to stay , it’s so convenient to everything also great pricing to be in the Silver Spring area . The property Manager Ms LaPreea is professional and answer concerns in a timely manner !

We had a tour scheduled for today which we never got. The leasing office was in a one bedroom apartment!! There was one staff member in the office, she had poor management skills. Kept taking tenants and prospective renters. We waited 45 mins then left. Tenants were complaining about several issues. One, they have a community water bill. Response was, we went through 3 management companies and that’s this current one does the water bill. Staff member then started talking about her... vet called and she had to pick up her dog!!!! Another tenant complained about her AC which has not been working for a while; right then maintenance worker came in to say AC company did not show up again. Don’t let website fool you. Complex is rundown. Pool has not been in used for over 2 years; water was so green it was disgusting. SMH ????? Lee mas

Be Aware,
The employees at the apartment are deceptive and don't even feel bad about for being unprofessional and unreliable. No apology, they just seems not care at all.
I decide to share this to warn others. It happened when I tried to rent one of their unit and pay application fee and approved. few days letter, they call and said it is not available, so choose another unit and pay holding fee and set moving date. I also get a welcome letter that specified the moving date and monthly payment... and other information. I talk to the male manager four prior to moving date and he say I come and get the key on the move date and on Saturday (just one day from moving day) other female employee said I can take the key tomorrow. So I went to get my key on the moving date (Sunday), no one was not available to give me the key. on Monday(a day after the set moving date) they send email saying the apartment is not ready and they don't know when it will be ready, ....., I need to look for other apartment at then end of my lease because they could not keep their agreement or care enough to provide me with what is happening in advance. I have kids and had to move out of my previous place. Does this place has an owner who care care about what is going on at the leasing center???? I have been here since 2015 and find the location and community excellent for families. The staff are always ready to assist you in any problem and respond to emergencies quickly. I have had nothing but admiration for Assistant Property Manager Cindy and her handling of the property and the community for which she serves. And i am very grateful to the the crew that make up the mechanics and specialist individuals who maintain the apartments plumbing, electrical, and appliance within the complex... . Especially Mr. Simon and Mr. Pasorie for their expert craftsmanship and knowledge in a field of restoration and repair. This truly is a place to raise a family and reap the benefit of enjoyment and a well taken care of apartments by a wonderful and professional staff. Lee mas
