Renter Beware!
Once again the office is closed during a weekday. It barely snowed. Why is it closed? As a resident, it is very frustrating that the property manager or assistant manager are rarely in the office, either leaving early in day or just not being there for multiple days during the week, to handle issues like simple maintenance items that are taking months to fix.
I specifically keep getting told that the part for my dryer is on back order. I know this is not true because I’ve found the part online... that is available for order from multiple vendors. I also know this because I work for an appliance repair company. I’ve talked to many other residents that say the same thing about their maintenance requests not being handled in a timely fashion.
What does the company do with all of our rent money? Part of that money should be being used for upkeep of the property. It seems more like management is lying to us residents about these things. Perhaps, the real issue is that the company either doesn’t want to spend the money on the property or has no money from being severely mismanaged. It’s outrageous that corporate hasn’t gotten involved with all these issues.
I mean seriously I’ve lived in cheaper luxury apartments managed and maintained better. Heck even when I was younger living in low income apartments it was better than Andover Park “Luxury” apartments current status!
