No communication
We began our lease only a few months ago and have experienced nothing but frustration and an extremely unprofessenial and discourteous office staff. We have experienced frustration with such items as maintenance requests--we moved into our unit with chunky mildew in our washer. On top of that, the middle piece in the washer was actually broken with a sharp edge that snagged our first load of laundry. For two weeks there was no communication or update on this maintenance request. For two weeks we... had our dog locked up in the bathroom hoping someone would come fix this. Two weeks of doing laundry elsewhere. Next on the list of unprofessionalism--we requested a second large storage unit. It was infested with mold and mildew so we were not able to utilize it. I informed staff immediately and was ghosted for 20 days. They had no problem charging us for a unit that we weren't using though. The only communication that happens between the office and tenants is when the tenant reaches out. After 20 days, we were told they were coting the unit and that should be done in a couple days. Two weeks later, we heard nothing. At that point we just decided we didn't want it. It's also worth noting that we signed a legal binding contract for a set price for our unit, then were over-charged for it. When we inquired about it, the office said 'it was made in a rush and we're human, it happens". Again, we said we want the medium unit instead. Now we've been ghosted again. This experience has been nothing but a disappointment.
